Startup of the Month:
Aimsity

Chief Executive Officer, Jaylee Ong, came from a background in Accounting and Finance. Realizing the transformative power of coding through self-learning, she made a life-altering decision to venture into the world of technology and coding, founding Aimsity.

Today, the startup provides young students between the ages of 7 to 17 with opportunities and tailored tech programs to explore the boundless possibilities that technology offers.

“Our journey has been an exhilarating mix of challenges and fulfillment. Building from scratch is no easy feat, but with each step, we have grown and learned invaluable lessons along the way,” she highlighted.

“Reflecting on our humble beginnings, the first year yielded only RM7,000 in revenue as we searched for the right business model to propel our mission forward.”

However, despite the initial challenges, Aimsity went on to witness remarkable growth among students who evolved from novices to coding enthusiasts. Looking back, Jaylee says she has no regrets as every experience has equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the present.

Aimsity now operates in both Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

“Our mission is to close the gap in the market by providing invaluable opportunities for students to embark on their tech learning journey from an early age. We aim to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital era,” Jaylee said.

Looking forward to 2024, the team has ambitious plans to automate certain processes with their newly launched technology. Additionally, they aspire to expand the company’s footprint to other states, bringing Aimsity’s transformative programs to more students across the nation.
