Penang IoT & Smart Manufacturing Community had the privilege of visiting MIMOS, a strategic agency under Malaysia’s Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (MOSTI), known for its outstanding contributions to Semiconductors, Microelectronics, and ICT technologies. MIMOS has filed over 2,000 patents across diverse technology domains, significantly impacting Malaysia’s digital transformation and earning global recognition.

During our visit, MIMOS shared how they are actively fostering the growth of Greater Penang’s IoT and smart manufacturing ecosystem. They highlighted initiatives such as the Technology Recipients Program and R&D Grants for tech projects, demonstrating MIMOS Berhad’s commitment to technological advancement in the region.
